CVS Pharmacy Job Description

  Title:   Merchandiser FLSA: Nonexempt

  GENERAL SUMMARY:
 
  To assist the management team in all merchandising activities in the store.
 
  ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
 
  • load and unload deliveries
    - lift 35 pound trays/cases to a height of 4 feet
    - move trays/cases from one location to another
  • check-in merchandise: verify billing, document errors
  • check-in/monitor outside vendor deliveries (DSD) in accordance to Outside Vendor Pricing Grid
  • price merchandise
  • stock shelves and supplies
  • ensure customer service using the eye's, hi's and help at all times; assist customers with their questions, problems and complaints
  • maintain loss prevention policies and procedures through customer awareness and communication with store management
  • maintain backroom organization - stack 35 pound trays/cases to at least a height of 8 feet
  • work overstock on a weekly basis using Telxon enhancements
  • display, sign and inventory weekly, major promotional and seasonal merchandise
  • maintain store appearance: vacuum, face/dust, trash removal, sweep (backroom and store exterior), clean windows, clean rest rooms
  • complete and prepare interstore transfers and RFCs
  • reset departments following POGs
  • cut in new items, remove discontinueds
  • set up and maintain merchandising of all endcaps, power wings, J hooks
  • maintain customer/patient confidentiality
 
  MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • operate a cash register including cash transactions, checks and charges
  • order regular merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory levels (using order guides when appropriate)through the use of the Telxon machine
  • complete check-out bulletins
  • complete price changes: document counts; utilize price guns
  • complete action sheets
  • answer the telephone
  • minor in-store repairs
  • set up and maintain cosmetics
