CVS Pharmacy Job Description

  Title:   Photo Lab Tech FLSA: Nonexempt

  GENERAL SUMMARY:
 
  To carry out all functions necessary in processing customer orders; servicing customers at the counter and on the sales floor. To carry out all duties delegated by Photo Lab Supervisor.
 
  ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
 
Team Work
  • work effectively with store management and crew
  • effectively communicate information to and from lab supervisor
Management
  • assist with management duties of lab supervisor, including responsibility for lab operations in the absence of the lab supervisor
Customer Service
  • assist customers with questions, problems, complaints
  • greet customers using eyes, hi's and helps at all times
  • handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers
  • develop professional relationships with customers to promote repeat sales
  • maintain customer/patient confidentiality
Merchandise/Presentation
  • responsible for meeting lab standards of quality, timeliness and efficiency in producing customer orders
  • maintain clean, neat, organized work area and exterior lab sales area
Shrinkage
  • meeting standard set to minimize print waste
  • exercising caution in mixing chemicals to safeguard against errors which could lead to contamination
  • maintain and react to EAS program
Operations
  • operate a cash register - includes cash, check and charge transactions
  • answer phones
  • opening and/or closing the lab
  • process overnight photofinishing activities
  • maintain processing equipment
    - transport materials from storage area to lab area - washing racks, dumping working/replenished tanks, draining waste tank - change paper magazine - prepare and mix chemicals
  • operate film processor and printer processor
  • operate densitometer and plot graphs
  • analyzing and reacting to control test strips for lab chemistry
  • preparing and reporting weekly sales/order summaries
  • working knowledge of film types, camera types, common problems
 
  MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • assist front store crew
  • work stock for film and related departments on order day
  • work film overstock
