Log Auditor, Level I :
Department: Safety Reports To: Log Audit Supervisor Primary Purpose: To process, scan, and audit drivers daily logs for accuracy and hours of service violations. Essential Functions: Are to include but are not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned. Receives, scans, and stores drivers logs in accordance with DOT regulations. Audits drivers daily logs to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and identify non-compliant or falsified logs. Audit drivers daily logs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Assess the proper accountability for falsified, missing or non-compliant logs. . Corrects errors and or deficiencies found in log audit processes. Researches and resolves disputes concerning noted log violations. Prepares and submits log audit findings and makes recommendations to management. Skills: Must be Detail Oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical, positive attitude and highly motivated. Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience required: None Supervision Received: Normal Supervision of Others: None Confidential Data: None Salary Grade: 11 EEO Category: 5 Status: Non-Exempt
