Primary Purpose: To train student drivers with the skills to become a licensed commercial drivers.
Essential Functions:
Trains student drivers how to perform safety inspections of the truck and what warning signs to be aware of
Teaches functional skills of driving such as performing turns, curves, backing, etc.
Evaluates student drivers daily and determines at what point the driver is ready to progress from the range to the road.
Assures that the drivers know when and how to perform drive upgrades and drive downgrades.
Trains drivers on the skills of starting and stopping on grade.
Assures a basic knowledge with drivers in dealing with intersections, urban/rural sections, expressways, bridge underpasses, etc.
Train Students Three to One
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED, certified by the State of Tennessee
Experience Required: 5 years truck driving experience
Skills: Computer keyboarding, administrative
Supervision Required: Minimal
Supervision of Others: Student drivers
