Security Investigator :

Department: Security
 
Reports to: Assistant Director of Security
 
Primary Purpose: Responsible for completing confidential background investigations by gathering, compiling, analyzing relevant facts, and interviewing all parties involved. Perform related work as assigned. Obtaining background checks for office/driver personnel.
 
Essential Functions:

    • Research and conduct confidential investigative background on office/driver personnel
    • Interview subjects and references; gathering, compiling an analyzing information relevant to assignment
    • Analyze language used by subject and handwritten statements
    • Write summary report regarding facts and findings of theft, fraud, or background investigation
    • Make recommendation as to whether subject is truthful or deceptive (theft / fraud investigation only)
Skills: Report writing techniques in order to prepare accurate and detailed reports, Modem office practices, procedures and equipment, Business English, spelling and grammar, Investigative/interviewing techniques, computer skills
 
Education Required: High School Diploma or OED, Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation (Basic and Advanced) preferred
 
Experience Required: minimum I-year experience related to this position, Knowledge of computer software programs, effectively communicate clearly orally and in writing, work within stringent deadlines, organize, prioritize, and perform multiple task to complete job functions in an orderly, efficient manner, exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information, exercise diplomacy when dealing with people in sensitive situations

Supervision of Others: None
