Swift Transportation

Customer Service On-site Representative :

Department: Customer Service
 
Reports To: Assigned Area Sales Vice President, Sales Manager, Vice President of Customer Service, Customer Service Area Manager or Terminal Manager
 
Primary Purpose: To coordinate and implement systems to maximize the utilization of Swift's assets while working in an assigned customers environment
 
Essential Functions:

    • Communicate effectively and professionally with assigned customer personnel on all levels while developing positive and sold relationships to enhance growth
    • Must have knowledge of ISO customer service processes regardless of whether performing the functions on a daily basis or not
    • Assist in collecting and maintaining current customer information in the system
    • Work with all Swift internal departments to resolve customer or company issues when necessary
    • Serve as an on-site daily extension of Sales to expand business revenue by exploring all dedicated, rail, and logistics opportunities with Customers
    • Communicates daily with responsible Swift planning centers to ensure customer commitments are being met
    • Generates appropriate reports regarding service, OS&D, accessorial, etc, to assist in evaluating cost factors associated with business
    • Perform any other responsible related job duties as required by Customer
Skills: Ability to work under stress while remaining professional at all times, be proactive and work efficiently independently with no supervision and good communication skills
 
Education Required: College course work or degree a plus
 
Experience Required: 1-3 years of customer service or customer relations experience preferred
 
Supervision Received: Minimal
 
Supervision Of Others: None
