  • Workshop handout (Changing Perspectives on Workforce System Performance - Data Validation) (MS-PowerPoint)

Bill Borden , Senior Fellow , Mathematica Policy Research

The accuracy and reliability of program reports submitted by states and grantees using Federal funds are fundamental elements of good public administration and necessary tools for maintaining and demonstrating system integrity. To that end, ETA introduced Data Validation in 2003 to help states and grantees ensure that their reported performance accurately reflects their experiences. Now that the first round of Data (DV) is complete, many states have shared their experiences and suggestions for improving the process with ETA. This interactive discussion will feature a brief overview of the DV process, highlight states’ experiences during the first year of implementation, and update attendees on what’s next to come.
