New Amendment for SGA/DFA PY 05-06, effective April 17, 2006 New Amendment for SGA/DFA PY 05-06, effective April 17, 2006

Senior Community Service Employment Program: ETA Publishes New Amendment for SGA/DFA PY 05-06, effective April 17, 2006

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) published a document in the March 2, 2006 FEDERAL REGISTER announcing the availability of funds and solicitation for grant applications (SGA) for the national grants portion of the Senior Community Service Employment Program. The agency subsequently modified the SGA to allow an extension of the application deadline through an April 7, 2006 FEDERAL REGISTER notice. ETA has now published a new amendment in the April 17, 2006 FEDERAL REGISTER.

This April 17 amendment makes several additional date changes and clarifications. The agency also modifies other sections of the SGA to exclude certain requirements for organizations applying under the Asian and Pacific Islander or Indian funding categories.

Questions can be directed to James W. Stockton, Grant Officer, Division of Federal Assistance through May 2, 2006, Telephone (202) 693-3335. (This is not a toll-free number.)

Prospective applicants are also directed to review other SGA-related information -- including the bidders' conference webinar and "SGA Questions and Answers" -- on the SCSEP SGA Web site.
