The
“Positive Alternatives” project addresses the needs of individuals with
disabilities through a variety of practical applications.This project targets adultswith developmental disabilities, severe
learning issues, mental retardation, and emotional disturbance.Also included are those who are in recovery
from the abuse of alcohol and other drugs.Training programs in information technology, electrical wiring,
telecommunications, and food services are offered to participants.In addition, the project provides a full
range of employment services, life skills training, and GED preparation as well
as linkages to transportation and housing services.
