This
project, which targets ethnic and racial minority jobseekers with disabilities,
co-locates an employment specialist in each of the One Stop centers:St. Louis, Missouri, and Portland, Oregon. The project seeks to
foster the commitment of the One-Stop System in the training and successful
attainment of employment for persons with disabilities, including supporting
partnerships that provide for non-duplication of services and coordinating
scarce resources. The two training components to the Discovering Options
project are (1) customer service and (2) information technology. At both sites,
local Discovering Options offices are also involved in the project to provide
supportive services to participants transitioning to employment.
