IAJVS focuses mainly on individuals with HIV/AIDS and/or psychiatric disabilities. This program enrolls participants in an information technology training program at five sites across the United States.  The training program aims for linking participants with well-paying stable information technology jobs.  The IAJVS project includes innovative approaches such as distance learning, telecommuting, and self-employment to help trainees overcome barriers to employment.  Several of the sites either operate a One Stop or co-locate with a One Stop, thus benefiting from leveraged services and resources.  The project has formed networks with employers who provide placement opportunities, and custom-designed training programs leading to employment.
