14. RESPONSES TO TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
1. Since the incumbent price did not include the price of the systems for the centers, then what was the price paid to the contractor for providing of the systems and how many systems were provided.
a. The contractor provided the system at no additional charge. The system is available to all centers.
2. Does the "System" include a computer, a printer, a bar code printer, a telephone line (installation and monthly cost), a dial up modem or DSL connection? If any additional item, not mentioned here, was provided by the contractor.
a. The contractor provided the bar printer. The centers are all connected to a wide area network, maintained by the job corps data center. The system is a HIPAA complaint on-line system in which the centers can access, request test, and get results.
3. Will the new contractor has to replace these systems at all the job centers.
a. No.
4. Can the job center use one of their own computer to go own line to retrieve the results from the lab website and enter the test request or we have to provide new computer systems with ancillary supplies to do that, at each center.
a. The health and wellness centers have access to a computer system. If special equipment is needed, like bar code printers, then the contractor would need to provide it.
5. We asked previously but the answer is not clear that if the incumbent contractor's price per test includes price of supplies or shipping. Or it is being paid separately to incumbent contractor and now you want to include all the costs in to the cost per test for the purpose of new contract.
a. The incumbent contractor's current price per test includes everything- shipping and supplies. The contractor is not paid separately for anything.
