EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION NOTIFICATION OF AWARD

NAME OF PROJECT: H-1B Technical Skills Training Grants

As a result of a recent procurement action, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, a partner in the America's Workforce Network, is awarding $19,063,250 to seven organizations.A list of the awardees and amounts is attached. These H1-B skills training grants seek to provide high level training to employed and unemployed workers that will enable those workers to fill jobs in occupational areas where there have been skill shortages, and for which employers have sought workers under H-1B visas. The grants are supported by user fees paid by employers seeking high skilled foreign workers under the H1B visa program. The period of performance for each grant is for twenty-four months.
