This map shows the Younger Youth Retention Rate State rankings for PY 2005. The rate ranges from a high of 89.2 percent in Idaho to a low of 43.4 percent in Nevada. The ten highest and ten lowest states for this ranking are highlighted on the map. The ten highest states in order are Idaho, Puerto Rico, Arkansas, the District of Columbia, North Dakota, Utah, Michigan, Maryland, Iowa and South Dakota. The ten lowest, from top to bottom, are Indiana, Delaware, the Virgin Islands, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, New Mexico, Alabama, Hawaii, and Nevada.
