SUBJECT:     Workforce Innovations 2005: A Declaration of Innovation


1.  Purpose.  To announce ­the time and location of Workforce Innovations 2005: A Declaration of Innovation, and to encourage our state and local partners to attend. Workforce Innovations 2005 will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 11 through July 13.

 

2. Background.  This year’s conference themes are Integration, Transformation and Innovation within the world of workforce development.  The event is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor/ETA and the American Society for Training & Development.  In addition to the workshops and plenary sessions, there again will be an exhibition hall featuring over 100 exhibits at this year’s new Career Voyage Showcase.  ETA considers this conference to be its premier annual event to educate and hear from the workforce investment system.

 

3. Registration. Conference registration and materials are available online at www.workforceinnovations.org.

 

4. Location / Hotels. Workforce Innovations 2005 will be held at the Philadelphia Convention Center.  Rooms are available at the federal per diem rate of $116/night at the hotels listed below.  Group reservations must be made by May 27, regular reservations must be made by June 17.
