Unemployment Insurance Program Letter No. 04-10, Change 9, dated March 05, 2012, has been published.

Purpose. To advise state workforce agencies of the latest extension and modifications of the EUC08 program, and of the extension of the temporary EB provisions.

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 17-11

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 17-11, dated February 28, 2012, has been published.

Purpose. To provide the State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) with final funding allotments for the administration of the WOTC program through September 30, 2012.

Unemployment Insurance Program Letter No. 10-12

Unemployment Insurance Program Letter No. 10-12, dated February 16, 2012, has been published.

Purpose. To invite state workforce agencies to submit proposals and funding requests to continue a UI REA program funded by a UI REA grant or to implement a UI REA program in a state, and to provide revised guidelines for UI REA programs for FY 2012 grants, including criteria governing the use of UI REA grant funds.

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 09-11, Change 1

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 09-11, Change 1, dated January 30, 2012, has been published.

Purpose. The intent of this guidance is to provide states with revised allotment levels for WIA Adult and Dislocated Worker Fiscal Year 2012 funds which became available to states in October 2011. The original TEGL 9-11 indicated a 1.503 percent temporary rate of operations reduction; Change 1 amends this to a 0.189 percent rescission providing all fifty states and territories with additional funding.

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 14-11

Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 14-11, dated January 20, 2012, has been published.

Purpose. On October 21, 2011, President Obama signed the Trade Adjustment Assistance Extension Act of 2011 (TAAEA). To implement the TAAEA, this Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) announces the availability of revised Trade Adjustment Assistance Act (TAA) petition forms that must be used starting January 31, 2012. Downloadable and online petition forms currently in use will be rendered obsolete and may not be used as of that date. The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) will issue further guidance via another TEGL to instruct the State Workforce Agencies or agencies designated by Governors as "Cooperating State Agencies" (CSAs) (also jointly referred to as "states") to operate the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program under the Trade Act of 1974, as amended by the TAAEA (the 2011 Amendments).
