Regional News Headlines
The Philadelphia Regional Office is once again conducting a technical training entitled "WIA Boot Camp". This training will cover all phases of the Workforce Investment Act. There will be topics on WIA program operations, i.e.; Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth programs; WIA performance accountability and reporting; Administrative and Fiscal Management; Services funded with ARRA funds; and Contractual and Program Compliance Monitoring. The intended audiences are State and Local stake holders who have responsibility for program operations and service delivery. These topics may be new to some attendees and refreshers for others.

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) hosted an intensive training in Philadelphia from January 26-28, 2010 for all Region 2 Discretionary Grantees. This ETA-sponsored event provided comprehensive training on the programmatic, fiscal and performance elements for both current and new grantees (including new grantees funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act).
