SUBJECT:  Notice – Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) No. 22-08

1.  Purpose. To transmit a notice of the publication of operating instructions for implementing the amendments to the Trade Act of 1974 enacted by the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Act of 2009, through the training and employment guidance letter number 22-08.

4.  Substance. The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is publishing, for public information, notice of the issuance and availability of Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) number 22–08 entitled, Operating Instructions for Implementing the Amendments to the Trade Act of 1974 Enacted by the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009, to assist the State Workforce Agencies designated by the Governor as ‘‘cooperating state agencies’’ in implementing the provisions of the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009 that amend the Trade Adjustment Assistance program, and creates or expands programs for Workers, Firms, Communities, and Farmers.

5. Action. Program administrators are request to share this Information Alert with appropriate staff and other agencies.
