Older Workers (SGA/DAA 97-011)
These grant awards totaling $3.2 million have been given to seven organizations to conduct demonstration programs to address the specific needs of older dislocated workers.

Five states have been granted a total of $1.2 million to provide effective business-related training to individuals developing businesses with fewer than five employees and with initial credit needs under $15,000.

One rural and two urban communities have been awarded over $2 million each to serve youth in high-poverty areas.

Persons with Disabilities (SGA/DAA 97-014)
These grant awards are for innovative employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
