Two Executive Orders of interest to the workforce community were published on December 7, 2013:
Establishment of the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force
The Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force shall prepare a long-term rebuilding plan that includes input from State, local, and tribal officials and is supported by Federal agencies, which is informed by an assessment of current vulnerabilities to extreme weather events and seeks to mitigate future risks.
Establishment of an Interagency Task Force on Commercial Advocacy
This Task Force will "help level the playing field on behalf of U.S. businesses and workers competing for international contracts against foreign firms and to facilitate the growth of sales of U.S. goods and services around the world in support of the National Export Initiative."
