Assistant Secretary Bramucci today announced the appointment of Lenita Jacobs-Simmons from Charleston SC as his deputy with responsibility for Regional Operations. Her major focus will be to ensure that the Regional Offices work with the State and local systems to successfully implement the reforms under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). She will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the performance agreements with the States under WIA.
