What's New in Workforce Investment Archive: Headlines (2002)
Through an announcement in the March 15 Federal Register, the
Department of Education is inviting applications under its "Projects
with Industry" program which "creates and expands job and career
opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the compettive labor market by engaging the talent and leadership of private industry as partners in the rehabilitation process." Education has set aside $17.5 million with the expectation of awarding up to 79 grants (in the $175,000 to $250,000 range.) Deadline for Transmittal of Applications: May 31, 2002.
