Through a April 9 Federal Register notice, HHS/Administration for Children and Families clarifies and corrects its February 21 Register announcement regarding applications for JOLI funding under the current cyle. HHS/ACF has now added to the JOLI eligible applicant list: "Faith-Based organizations that are exempt from taxation under 501(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 by reason of paragraph (3) or (4) of section 501(c) of such Code are also eligible to apply for funds under this program announcement." In light of this addition, HHS/ACF has formally extended the submission date for JOLI applications from April 22 to May 22.
