What's New in Workforce Investment Archive: Headlines (2002)
The Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has announced the availability of $3.5 million to award up to seven competitive grants. The grants are designed to support strategic planning and implementation activities designed to improve the employment and career advancement of people with disabilities through enhanced availability and provision of customized employment services through the One-Stop delivery system. The awards (ranging from $400,000 to $700,000) will be for a one-year period and may be renewed annually for up to four additional years for a total of five years depending upon the availability of funds and the efficacy of the grant activities. Submission deadline is August 12.
