This map shows the Employment Retention Rate State rankings for the WIA Adult program in PY 2005. The rate ranges from a high of 91.7 percent in Arkansas to a low of 65.2 percent in the Virgin Islands. The ten highest and ten lowest states for this ranking are highlighted on the map. The ten highest states in order are Arkansas, Wyoming, Maryland, Nebraska, Puerto Rico, Kentucky, Iowa, Tennessee, South Dakota, Kansas and Texas. The ten lowest, from top to bottom, are North Dakota, Massachusetts, Missouri, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Vermont, Nevada, Delaware, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
