There have been reports of phone calls made from a Department of Labor phone number (202-693-2700) soliciting personal information and/or promising funds to those receiving the calls. These calls were not authorized by the Department of Labor. ETA and the Department of Labor do not and will not solicit Personally Identifiable Information, such as your Social Security number, or other personal information, over the phone. If you receive a call like this from a number that looks like an ETA phone number, consider it a spam call, hang up, and report the call to the US Department of Labor at 1-855-522-6748.

Veterans Age and Gender Chart

The majority of veterans served by the Workforce System in Calendar Year 2005 were men, approximately 88 percent. Overall, about half (50.6 percent) of the veterans were 18 to 44 years old. For men this percentage was 47.8 percent, but for women it was 71.8 percent, representing the younger profile of female veterans overall. About a quarter, 26.1 percent, of the overall veterans were age 45-54, and that proportion was fairly even for the two sexes, 20.8 percent for females and 26.8 percent for males. Veterans age 55 and over were 23.3 percent of the total served by the Workforce System, and that age group consisted of 25.4 percent of male veterans served. However, for female veterans those age 55 and over were only 7.4 percent of the total.
