There have been reports of phone calls made from a Department of Labor phone number (202-693-2700) soliciting personal information and/or promising funds to those receiving the calls. These calls were not authorized by the Department of Labor. ETA and the Department of Labor do not and will not solicit Personally Identifiable Information, such as your Social Security number, or other personal information, over the phone. If you receive a call like this from a number that looks like an ETA phone number, consider it a spam call, hang up, and report the call to the US Department of Labor at 1-855-522-6748.

The number of African-Americans served by the WIA programs rose between PY 01 and PY 04. It was 110,131 in PY 01, rose to 163,462 in PY 02, dipped slightly to 159,928 for PY 03 and rose to 167,954 in PY 04. The number of African-American Adult exiters was 51,032 in PY 01, rose to 79,249 in PY 02, declined to 67,668 for PY 03 and rose to 77,184 in PY 04. There were 18,953 African-American Dislocated Workers for PY 01, and this number rose to 29,630 for PY 02, then to 34,414 for PY 03, and finally to 35,332 in PY 04. In PY 01 there were 33,951 African-American Younger Youth exiters. This figure rose to 45,880 for PY 02, rose again in PY 03 to 48,732 and declined to 43,721 for PY 04. The number of Older Youth exiters was 7,591 in PY 01, rose to 10,330 in PY 02, increased to 11,107 for PY 03 and finally reached 11,717 in PY 04.
