There have been reports of phone calls made from a Department of Labor phone number (202-693-2700) soliciting personal information and/or promising funds to those receiving the calls. These calls were not authorized by the Department of Labor. ETA and the Department of Labor do not and will not solicit Personally Identifiable Information, such as your Social Security number, or other personal information, over the phone. If you receive a call like this from a number that looks like an ETA phone number, consider it a spam call, hang up, and report the call to the US Department of Labor at 1-855-522-6748.

Federal Transit Administration Announces Funding Availability under Job Access and Reverse Commute Grant Program

The U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced the solicitation of grant proposals for Fiscal Years (FY) 2002 and 2003 funding provided under the Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) grant program.

All proposal applications for funding of continuation projects must be submitted to the appropriate FTA regional office and be received no later than June 7, 2002. Proposal applications for new projects must be submitted no later than July 8, 2002, but applicants must notify the appropriate regional office of their intent to apply for funding no later than June 7, 2002.
