The State plans to use incentive funds for the following initiatives:
Develop and pilot test secondary career and technical education program models that build on K-12 career awareness and development, and link to postsecondary programs;
Develop and pilot test new post-secondary program models that involve bridge programs, foundation programs, and specialized training programs that can be delivered on a regional basis by adult education providers; and
Develop and pilot test new approaches for integrating funding mechanisms and federal and state funding sources to develop and maintain comprehensive regional manufacturing workforce pipelines in Illinois.
